What is your job role? Assistant Accountant

How long have you worked with Zest Care? Over 2 and a half years

What does a typical work day look like for you?

– Reconcile all the bank accounts, payments, remittances, etc

– Process suppliers invoices for payment, including Plan Management and related inquiries

– Sales invoicing for NDIS and VCP and related inquires

– Maintenance of the accounts, everyday transactions in preparation for end of month

– Ad hoc projects as requested

What do you love about your job?

I get to play a part in keeping the team and organisation run smoothly and efficiently, so we can continue to deliver our services and make a difference in the lives of the people in need. Not only do we provide care and assistance to the people in the community in our nature of business, Zest is also very considerate, flexible and accommodating with staff, making it possible for us to continue to thrive in our careers as well as meeting other personal and family commitments.

Thinking about your role, how do Zest Care go the extra mile?

Always remind us of our visions, why we are in this particular industry and integrate them in our decisions making, processes and the services we deliver to the people in our community.

How do you self-care to avoid taking your work home with you?

I’m not taking any work home but it’s still hard to switch off at the end of the work day. I used to do yoga and kick boxing for physical and mental health but I have not been very good in keeping up with it. It’s definitely something I will try to get back into again.

When you have 30 minutes of free time, how do you pass the time?

It’s hard to find 30 minutes of free time lately but if I do, I think I want to do some yoga.

Your message for the team

Keep up the good work!
