We think it’s really important to share the stories of the incredible people who work directly with our clients to ensure that they’re able to live their lives in a way that’s both dignified and fulfilled. Our support workers are the backbone of everything we do here, and Georgia Sullivan is no exception. We caught up with her to find out more about what inspires her to do the amazing work that she does!

How long have you worked at Zest?

I have worked with Zest for three months now!

What gets you out of bed in the morning?

Knowing that I make a difference in my clients lives by assisting them reach daily goals… and coffee helps too!

What is your biggest achievement to date – personal or professional?

I spent half of 2018 travelling 11 different countries I have never been to before with my cousin. Experiencing and learning about other cultures made me realise how different people can live their lives across the world. It was a big, fun learning experience.

What does a typical day look like for you?

I generally have multiple clients in a day so between and after taking them shopping, or helping with personal care or around the home i’ll go to the gym and spend my afternoons at the beach.

What three words would you use to describe your role?

Rewarding, challenging and diverse.

What do you like most about your job?

The appreciation and feeling i receive from my clients just by helping or spending time with them. They’re all such beautiful people.   

What is your motto or personal mantra?

“Be kind but strong”.

What’s your favourite blog?

I don’t really read blogs, other then when I’m researching countries!

Given a chance, who would you like to be for a day?

Oprah Winfrey.

What’s your favourite line from a film?

“Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you’re gonna get”.

What is your favourite thing about working at Zest?

The company goes above and beyond for the clients needs and that’s exactly what this role should be about.
