In The Spotlight – Eliza

Danielle Lawson In The Spotlight

Our ‘In The Spotlight’ piece this month focuses on getting to know Eliza Duncan, one of Zest Care’s fantastic employees based in the Newcastle region. Our recent expansion into the city has been an excellent choice and we can now serve even more members of the community, thanks to all of the hard work from this outstanding new team.

Let’s get to know a little more about Eliza.

What is your job role?

I recently moved into the Newcastle office as Client Engagement Coordinator. I go out into the community and meet potential clients to let them know what Zest can do to assist them to meet their goals and become more independent.

How long have you worked with Zest Care?

I started with Zest in October 2018 as a part-time disability support worker.

When you have 30 minutes of free time, how do you pass the time?

I’ve recently started putting time aside to stretch. I have always had issues when sitting for long periods of time. I never put much thought into stretching even though it has always been suggested to me. I am noticing a difference after just a few weeks so I will try my best to continue stretching as much as possible.

What do you love about your job?

I love being able to interact with a range of different people from participants,  referrers, other providers and the amazing Zest Sydney team.

What chore do you absolutely hate doing?

Washing up! My dishwasher is broken at the moment and dish washing is my biggest hate.

How well is the organisation settling into Newcastle?

Very well! All of the participants, referrers and providers are excited to see a fresh new company spreading its wings in Newcastle.

If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?

To have a photographic memory. I think it would be amazing to have the ability to remember information or visual images in great detail.

Your message for the team?

I appreciate everyone’s patience and guidance when answering all of my questions. There is always a happy and helpful person on the other end of the phone when I  need them.

Newcastle’s new team is lucky to have Eliza, and we appreciate all of the work that she puts in. You can contact the Zest Newcastle office on 1800 844 127.
