Blake Browne is a relatively new Support Worker here at Zest, but he’s caught on quickly thanks to his genuine and caring attitude. We decided to speak to him to find out exactly how he feels about his crucial role.

How long have you worked at Zest?

I’ve worked at Zest for about five months now and I’m loving every day of it!

What is your biggest achievement to date – personal or professional?

My biggest achievement would have to be completely changing one of my clients perspective on respect, common courtesy and just life in general.

What does a typical day look like for you?

My day starts off with a 5:30 am alarm telling me to get out of bed and I then head to my Muay Thai gym to do a class. Afterwards, I head back home to shower and get ready for the day. I head to my first client’s house with the intent of making them a better person then they were the day before. After all of my clients have had their needs tended to, I then head back to the gym for another class, then back home to sleep.

What three words would you use to describe your role?

Important, role model, caring.

What do you like most about your job?

I love my job because no two days are the same. I feel that I’m genuinely making an impact in other people’s lives.

What is your motto or personal mantra?

Make it happen.
